I HATE the Royal Mail website

Come on Royal Mail the interweb is not exactly new! I do almost everything I can on-line, so redirecting my mail as I move from London back to Lymington full-time seemed like something that would be easy to do when the local post office is closed on a Sunday. No, if only it was that easy. All seems to be going well, it takes all my data, lulls me into a false sense of security by asking me for my credit card details and then and then say its cant validate all the information. Therefore, I do in the end need to go and queue with the pensioners and get them to take my money over the counter. Does it say what data is not correct? Nope. Why ask for my credit card before validating the information? It is just rubbish. When the bar on-line is set by Amazon this feels stone age and makes me hate them.

  1. I had an absolute nightmare with Royal Mail’s redirection service. First of all they redirected it to my ex’s (not a good move) but denied they’d done it, despite having the evidence in my hand, which she’d forwarded on. Then it just seemed to go into a black hole. I complained. Then got a letter of apology, but nothing else. I didn’t bother renewing after the six month period, which makes me a little nervous from a fraud proection point of view.
